Obama’s Jeremiah Wright Problem

How do you solve a problem like Jeremiah Wright, and this very disturbing issue swirling around him? (I keep putting it to that “Sound of Music” tune.)

WHY? Why would Obama even entertain entering this presidential race knowing that this tsunami would someday come crashing out of the closet flooding voters minds with more questions than answers regarding this yet undefined and cult like figure?

Yes, Senator Obama did transcend race. Yes, he was a man fresh with dreams of hope. Yes, he could mesmerize audiences at full capacity events as he spoke across the nation. And finally, yes, he was darn close to capturing the nomination right out from under Hillary, which many agreed in the beginning would be an impossible feat. Not impossible because Hillary would win the hearts and minds of the electorate, but because the Clinton machine was not to be underestimated. Race, the pundits kept pounding home would be the strong ace Hillary would play. And when Barack trumped that ace by transcending the race card, Hillary over trumped him with Jeremiah Wright.

Barack Obama’s speech illuminated the undeniable problems much of the African American community face. Yes, when Barack Obama spoke eloquently as to WHY African Americans are still angry, he was correct. But there still was something unsettling when the Jeremiah Wright clips were played again and again. It wasn’t just the anger in his voice, it was the “HATE” that spewed out when he spoke, as Obama and the congregation absorbed every last syllable. Most disturbing is the “HATE” Mr. and Mrs. Obama chose to expose their children to.

This begs the question consequently, “Just who is Barack Obama?” And just how is this hateful rhetoric not divisive? How will all this “hate” bring people together in this utopia that Obama has smoothly convinced much of America is at the end of the rainbow?

Playing on Obama’s middle name was a cheap shot. But when hearing the hate filled sermons which Jeremiah Wright preached and felt in the pit of his stomach, and then tried in earnest to instill in his congregation, it hark-ens back to the “hate” which is taught by our Islamic Extremist enemy to their children in their schools.

We’ve all seen the destruction “hate” inflicts when it rears its ugly head. Its eats away at ones soul until there is nothing left but a festering boil ready to break. What comes next Mr. Wright after you have successfully brainwashed your flock to hate America? What comes next Barack Obama after being brainwashed for twenty (20) years to accept this? There was always this strange nagging feeling that you were too good at what you do - an orator, a cult like figure who could draw people in, speaking little of substance. Its all coming together now knowing what you have been doing the last twenty (20) years, and WHO, as your spiritual adviser, has inspired and formulated your ideas and beliefs.

“It was a superb speech,” said Whit Ayres, a Republican strategist not currently affiliated with any presidential campaign. “It was a speech every bit as powerful as you’d expect from Barack Obama. But I don’t know that it solves his problem.”

Mr. Ayres is correct when describing Obama’s speech - I don’t know if it solves anything either. Never mind arguing about Florida and Michigan.  What about all those people who in good faith already pulled the lever for Obama? They didn’t have a problem with a “first” black president, but they may with the hate ingrained in Obama which he is so adept in hiding.

John McCain is inspiring to me because he brings out the best in us.

Barack Obama gave a good speech on race, but it’s being argued that it was designed to distract attention from much more damaging non-racial aspects of his THEOLOGY. See:

This controversy shows that a better look at all aspects of Obama’s life is needed. Why has the media waited until now to report about Obama’s pastor of 20 years? What else has not been reported about Obama? There are plenty of other aspects of Obama’s life that question his charcter, judgement and integrity.

If you can’t see how OBAMA has played the race card in his campaign–this speech was a DEUCE in race card playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmh….HOw do I explain my ignorant racist pastor and my allegiance to sitting in a church for 20 years now acting like I didn’t know my pastor was so inflammatory–Talk about why Black men are angry so I understand the Wrights of this nation–even though I don’t agree. So non-Black people can’t touch this alliance because racism in America is real and no one really wants to be racially insensitive to a good black man. But I am African-American, and will touch it–This is baloney. See http://www.mulloverthis.wordpress.com

BHO can appear in front of as many flags as he wants (8 for his “Race” speech). But it will take more than that to eRASE his pastor/friend/confidant’s statement “G** Damn America.”
ALSO, he might have to add a flag lapel pin too.

“good black man” ……….I find it difficult to really know WHO Barack Obama really is after learning Wright had to have formulated the woven fabric of this man; formulated much of Obama’s views towards racism as his spirtual adviser, and church member for over 20 years.

Racism is real in America. So are other injustices. I’ll touch this alliance as a non-black. Once more its the “HATE” not anger in Wright’s beliefs. Hate that he instills in young people growing up in his church such as Obama. Hate which is passed down to generations.

Hate is divisive and destructive as the boil festers and finally breaks. As a non-black I find it offensive as the boil breaks and the puss splatters on human beings such as myself and others who have believed and brought our children up to know that we are all equal in God’s eyes. I find it offensive that Sharpton can sit back and chuckle to himself that he brought Imus down over a poor joke, yet Sharpton never ripped the ear plugs from the Rutgers basketball team, with whom many listen to damning rap music.

Yes OPDitch is correct, Obama can try to spin and smooth this any way he wishes, but you can’t erase the “G** Damn America” - Something we would expect from extremist Islamics, but not from our black brothers. Nor can Obama explain as a “uniter” why he never challenged his spiritual adviser on his “hate” rhetoric in the 20 years he listened to it.

I’m glad the truth has come out about this lunatick, Rev. J. Wright. And Senator Obama’s lack of good judgment. Gracious!

  8. Kay Says:

Why isn’t the media, or anyone, asking Obama about The Black Value System to which his church avows?
